Our History

W. L. Fields Funeral Home is a family-owned and operated business which was founded in 1953 by the late Willie Lee and Sarah W. Fields under the core principals of Honesty, Integrity, and Compassion.


For over 62 years, the W. L. Fields Funeral Home has been serving families of all faiths, beliefs and cultures from Dinwiddie, Brunswick. Sussex, Nottoway, and Chesterfield Counties as well as the Cities of Petersburg, Colonial Heights, and Richmond. ALL families are treated with courtesy and respect. We consider your arrangements to be a sacred trust and still believe in the core principals of our founders.
